Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) is one of the oldest technical universities in the world, with more than 316 years of academic tradition. According to the QS ranking, CTU ranks among the top 500 universities globally and is a leading technical institution in Central and Eastern Europe. Two of its institutes participate in the BRITE-EU project, namely Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU) and Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies (MIAS CTU). CIIRC CTU was founded in 2013 and is the youngest CTU’s institutes. The CIIRC CTU’s research focuses on four basic pillars: industry, energy, smart cities, and healthy society, all implemented in basic and applied research. CIIRC CTU aims to concentrate on cutting-edge research in the fields of computer science, robotics, cybernetics, artificial intelligence and related areas, especially machine learning, optimization, automated reasoning, machine perception, computer vision, intelligent, distributed and complex systems, automatic control, computer-aided manufacturing, energy transport, smart homes and smart cities, bioinformatics, biomedicine, and assistive technologies. MIAS CTU, established in 1992, endeavours to connect engineering with business. The Institute offers study programmes delivered in Czech and English, and educates managers with highly specialized skills, good at languages and ready for Trade and Industry, including leading Tech Companies. Scientific research is one of MIAS CTU key activities. MIAS CTU participates in numerous research projects, and provides advisory services and training programmes for companies, professional bodies, public agencies, as well as for other faculties and institutes of the CTU.

Role: Leads the WP1 (Needs Analysis and Benchmarking) and several tasks as T1.1, T1.3, T1.4. Contributes to the project with the connection to the academic institutions and professional networks in Czechia and Europe.
