Cluster Saúde de Galicia

The Cluster Saúde de Galicia is a sectoral organization that promotes excellence in health through collaboration between companies, knowledge centers, public administrations, and society. With a strong focus on technology, longevity, circular economy, and biomedicine, CSG fosters innovation and knowledge exchange to strengthen the competitiveness of the health sector. By connecting key stakeholders across the value chain, the cluster supports the development, validation, and adoption of innovative solutions, positioning Galicia as a relevant and active player within the European and global health ecosystem.

Role: The Cluster Saúde de Galicia participates in BRITE-EU as a strategic partner, contributing its in-depth knowledge of the European digital health ecosystem as well as its experience in project management. Its role focuses on facilitating connections between companies, knowledge centers, and public administrations, helping to identify real market needs and align project activities with the digital health sector. Among its specific responsibilities, CSG leads Task 5.3: Data Management, developing the Data Management Plan and defining processes for data access, preservation, and reuse in accordance with Horizon Europe guidelines. It also collaborates on Task 5.4: Legal, Ethical and Gender Management, supporting the development and implementation of ethical and equality frameworks. Within WP7, CSG leads Task 7.3: Exploitation and Sustainability Plan Development, designing the strategy to ensure the sustainability of the project’s results. In addition, CSG contributes to communication and dissemination activities by preparing content, facilitating information flow among partners, and energizing the ecosystem, thereby strengthening the project’s visibility and impact.

Iván Rarís Filgueira

Iván Rarís is the Managing Director of the Cluster Saúde de Galicia (CSG) since April 2024, where he drives innovation and collaboration across the health sector. Previously, he led AFAGA Alzhéimer for a decade, strengthening support services for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. Earlier in his career, he worked as a business lawyer at GTA Villamagna Abogados in Madrid. Iván holds a Law degree from the Universidade de Vigo and an LL.M. in Business Law from the Universidad de Navarra, and he is currently pursuing the HealthXcelerate: Strategy, Policy, and Systems program at Harvard Medical School. His professional profile combines legal expertise with a strong focus on healthcare innovation and ecosystem development.

Lorena Iglesias Andrade

Lorena Iglesias is a journalist specialized in digital communication and currently works as a Communication Officer at the Cluster Saúde de Galicia. She develops and implements strategies that enhance the visibility of health and wellness projects while strengthening connections between organizations, professionals, and the community. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Media Communication and Digital Content Creation from the University of Vigo (2022–2023), where she focused on digital storytelling and multimedia content. Lorena also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2017–2021), complemented by a SICUE mobility year at the University of Seville, an experience that broadened her academic and cultural perspective. After beginning her career in traditional media, she discovered her passion for digital communication, specializing in content creation, social media management, and online communication strategies. Lorena is committed to continuous learning and aims to contribute to meaningful, innovative projects.

Belén Táboas Pometti

Belén Táboas has been working at the Cluster Saúde de Galicia (CSG) since July 2022, where she leads Economic and Financial Management. She is responsible for the technical, administrative, and financial management of activities related to the execution, monitoring, and justification of European projects, regional funding programmes, and collaboration agreements. Her role includes identifying funding opportunities, coordinating project implementation, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and overseeing reporting and financial follow-up. In addition, she manages agreements and service provision contracts and supports organizational management through internal coordination, partner liaison and follow-up, implementation of the Strategic Plan, communication activities, and event organization.
