The Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN) is a regional public agency attached to the Consellería de Educación, Ciencia, Universidades e Formación Profesional of the Government of Galicia, with its own legal personality. Its mission is to foster and coordinate innovation policies across Galician public administrations and to support the growth and competitiveness of Galician companies through the design and implementation of efficient innovation strategies and programmes. GAIN plays a key role in strengthening the regional innovation ecosystem, promoting collaboration between academia, industry and public authorities, and facilitating access to national and European funding opportunities.

Role: GAIN contributes to BRITE-EU as a regional public authority with a multidisciplinary profile that combines innovation policy design, ecosystem coordination and programme management capacities. Within the project, GAIN leads Task 3.4 (Networking Events), being responsible for the design and implementation of cross-sector networking activities that foster collaboration between academia, industry and public institutions in the Digital Health field. GAIN also contributes to WP1 by supporting ecosystem mapping and stakeholder needs assessment from a regional policy perspective, and to WP2 by facilitating knowledge transfer, promoting joint research initiatives and encouraging access to shared infrastructures. Through WP3 and WP4, GAIN supports mobility, mentoring and capacity-building actions, leveraging its experience in innovation funding instruments and regional strategy implementation. Its involvement ensures alignment between project activities and regional innovation priorities, maximising long-term and structural impact.
